EV Star
GreenPower Motor Company manufactures a complete range of medium- and heavy-duty all-electric vehicles, including models with lower and high floors. The EV Star Cab & Chassis is their most popular vehicle and it is able to be adapted to meet a variety of applications. The design of the platform is based on a clean sheet of paper, which allows for optimal positioning of the battery pack and a lower center-of-gravity. This results in higher payload/range ratios.
The EV Star REEFERX was developed for mid-to-last mile refrigerated deliveries and catering applications. The refrigerated trucks of class 4' one interior wall structure, and higher insulation than conventional trucks, allow for seamless sanitation and better temperature control. They also have a longer life span. The EV Star REEFERX has a higher capacity for cargo and a payload that is industry-leading to allow for zero emission transport of passengers or goods.
GreenPower has collaborated with Perrone Robotics to up-fit the EV Star with their TONY (To Navigate You) autonomous vehicle system, which will allow fleets to easily move to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star is also capable of wireless charging up to 75 kW.

We had the chance to test drive the EV9 for several hours on a local highway and found it easy to drive and comfortable for long distances. The ride is smooth and smooth over bumps and ruts, while the EV9 is a master of reducing road noise and wind on the highway. The acceleration is quite quick, and the car comes with adjustable regenerative braking that allows "one pedal driving" by simply taking off the accelerator.
green scooters has a wide range and can be recharged within three hours or less at home, or with any commercial charger. Drivers can select between two modes of operation that include eco mode and sports mode. Eco mode focuses on the torque and cruise control while the sport mode is designed to maximize speed and handling. Both modes are enjoyable to drive and provide an unforgettable experience for those who have never experienced driving an electric vehicle before.
In addition to the EV9, GreenPower has several other e-vehicle offerings including a multi-purpose electric mini bus called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA-compliant and can be used for executive shuttles, microtransit or transit vanpools, buses, and paratransit vehicles.
GreenPower is currently producing around 10 EV Star buses per month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority, which is attempting to replace their fleet of diesel vehicles with 100 fully electric vehicles. With the Biden Administration looking to electrify school buses across the country, GreenPower plans on ramping up production to meet demand. Their EV Star bus is the first of its kind to be Altoona-tested and FMVSS-certified, Buy America compliant and ADA conforming. greenpower scooter will be eligible for federal transit assistance grants.
